Update:

Y Halo Thar!

Mmm, blender cheesecake

Original post:
Got a black one today, the "Will it Blend" blender. I've been through 3 blenders since I got married, so hopefully this one will hold up. My wife wasn't feeling well tonight, so I went ahead and put it through the ringer. Here's the results so far: (I'll update it continually)

Marinara: Ugh, horrible. Too much garlic I think. Won't be trying that one again!

Peanut Butter: Pretty good with a bit of sugar and honey. Not creamy enough for me though, might try adding some vegetable oil.

Watermelon-Raspberry Smoothie: Awesome. Too sugary for my tastes, I'll have to tone it down next time.

Orange-Strawberry Whole Juice: Not bad, but I don't like "pulp" juice.

Creamy Cheesecake: Dunno, still cooling :D Looks & smells great though! Update: Wow, tastes awesome! Super good with the sauce!

Strawberry Sauce: Pretty good, on the strong side of strawberries. Not as thick as I'd like, but I don't know what else to add to it (going on the cheesecake).

Strawberry-Banana Milkshake: Good but 1/2 banana is too much in this recipe.

To wholeheartedly embrace a cliche, I for one welcome our 1500-watt, 3-horsepower blender overlords :D

Honestly, what does that blender have to do with what you're attempting to make? PB is very easy to make. Use low-salt or lightly salted nuts and blend until desired consistency. Usually, stop at the 2 minute mark for crunchy and 3 for creamy, but you may go longer. That's in a Cuisinart, though.

you should try to blend a non food item, like an old shoe or something. If I had money and needed a Blender I'd jump all over a Blendtec :)

That was me, earlier. I read the instructions and it said how to add in ice/liquids - if you don't do it right, it blends the very bottom and then it gets so cold that it freezes the jar, so the ice won't come off. One of the tricks is just to do the ice first. It can blend a jar of ice pretty quickly, then you just add the juice and pulse it. Thing is a beast :Q

I read this part and did a double-take. I thought you put the marinara on the cheescake. Then I thought...hmm...savory cheescake with marinara. Might not be bad. Then I read the next line.

Congrats on the blender purchase! I've had my eye on one for several months now, but will probably wait until I'm out of college to buy it.

Too late  The leftover stuff is in the freezer, fridge, or containers in the cabinets. I didn't eat it all at once! Now I need to go shopping, lol.

If you'd really use it, I'd say go for it. I LOVE the plastic jar - the square design and blade spacing make it really easy to get the product out after you mix it in the blender. My parents have an Oster Fusion and it's somewhat harder to get everything out, which is important if you're just making something small like a smoothie for yourself. I used my previous blenders on more or less a daily basis (smoothies with breakfast and then various things for lunch and dinner) which is why I decided to invest in one of these. The price tag makes me sick, but it's not like it's a toy I'll use for a week and then throw away; it's something I'll actually use every day. At least it's cheaper than a PS3 :D

Never had blended pork before...:D I'm going to use it to make all my marinades for grilling from now on. Even cleanup is cake...just dump in water & liquid dish soap, blend for a few seconds, rinse out!

If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to put up some cooking shows on blending up on Youtube in the future.
