The file
C:\Program Files\Morpheus\My Shared Folder\kazaadownload100700892030288422.dat
is infected with the Backdoor.Trojan virus.
Access to the file was denied.

Now, does that last part (Access to file denied) mean that Norton AV was denied access to get rid of it, or that the file was taken care of (denied access to whatever)?

I did a full system scan after NAV gave me that alert and it found NOTHING (with the latest virus definitions)!

Thanks.

it means that you, the user, was denied access to it by nav. if you want to be sure, right click on the file and do a scan for that file only.

and yes, i thought you were requesting help with a condom too.

I can't open the file...I can't even find it! It's not in the download folder or anywhere else.

So...is my computer infected or what?

<< Could it be a hidden file? >>

No, none of my files are hidden. Plus it would still come up in a search.

nav might of deleted it. there is a setting where it will automatically delete it if it can't repair it.

Kazaa or Morpheus is still running in the background, which means the file is being used at the moment, either resuming a download, or just on paused status.

Solution: turn off morpheus or kazaa and delete it manually.

I know in my norton antivirus, somewhere in the AV console there was a place that said view quarantined files. It may have moved it there.
