I got a set of Wet Okole seat covers

I just got a set of seat covers and I'm really disappointed. This company has a good reputation, but the custom covers they sent came with horrible instructions and don't even fit my car-- the front and rear of the seatback portion are supposed to meet and velcro together to hold it taut, but the cover just can't stretch enough for that to happen. The hole for the fold-forward release is in the wrong position too. You'd think that an S197 Mustang is a common enough car to get right. Yet they don't even provide customized instructions for the car. How is it they can design a cover for the 2005+ Mustang, yet not even create basic instructions?

Even worse are the stupid "installation videos" that show absolutely nothing. The guy just talks about unpackaging the covers.

Strange. I have had two sets 2004 Matrix and 2012 Tacoma and they both fit like a second skin nice and tight. Very durable and waterproof.

They do fit tight and it takes some work to get them on properly. I would recommend removing the seats from the car for installation. It makes it much easier. Once they are on place you need to massage the covers into place.

Maybe they did make a mistake. How many seat options are available in a 2005 Mustang? You may have made a mistake in ordering. For the Tacoma they have two seat options and some have ordered for the sport seats when they actually had the SR5 seats and vice versa. Call them they are usually very helpful from what I understand.

The options are airbag/no airbag and vinyl/cloth, so not much to get wrong. I can't just remove the seats because there are side airbag connections etc. The problem is that the material isn't long enough to velcro the front and back halves together at the bottom of the backrest. I could probably stretch really hard and get them together but then I don't think the velcro would hold.

Installing quality seat covers with the seats in the car isn't the easiest thing ever. You can't disconnect the battery and disconnect the seat airbags?

Do seat covers effect the seat airbags at all? Seems like it would render them useless, especially something like neoprene.

They have cutouts on the sides... but I think these cutouts are in the wrong place. They're right at the side but pictures I've seen show the airbags deploy from the bolster seam.

Mine also have side air bags. Disconnect the battery, wait 30 minutes for the capacitor to discharge.

Unplug the seat connectors and remove the seats. The back covers on are tight and stretching is required to fasten the velcro. The velcro on the covers is stronger than you think and it should hold.

Reinstall the seats and plug in all the connectors before you turn on the ignition. The wires that are yellow go to the airbags.
