i got a quick scientific question for some hardcore chemists

alrighty then, since that question has been answered,

if a 15 year old drinks listerine for fresh minty breath every burp, could it be harmful?

If you're really worried call poison control, however I wouldn't worry too much about it.

No, because it is doubtful that the surfactant (the soap) would come in contact with any fat to attach to. Soaps work because they have two ends to the molecule: A hydrophilic end and a hydrophobic end. The hydrophilic end keeps them in solution with water. The hydrophobic end attaches to organic molecules, such has hydrocarbons and fats.

Side effects? Well, you'll probably puke, but other than that, no.

the fat you'll wash out is only in your digestive system. soap wont make it as far as circulatory or lipid cells. ingesting soap will only do as far as make you puke. i guess that would be sort of a diet.
