My finances are tight, and I need to figure things out. First off the list suggested was sell my beloved motorcycle. Now I protested but I really think its time i sell it. I hardly ride it and plus i could use the money right now. Some day in the future i can buy another GS500.
So the question is that my bike has a custom plate on it. It spells "STRT HWK". I want to keep that for my next bike which could be a few years from now.
If I sell the bike, do i get to keep the plate? Can I keep the plate without a vehicle attached to it until i get a vehicle later on.
If anyone is interested in a great beginner bike and or if your an exprienced rider and need an awesome commuter bike.. mine should be up for sale once i get an answer.
The bike is a 2001 Suzuki GS500, clean title. Its been modified with a BobB's V&H Clone advancer, JeffD LED tail lights, Rejetted with 20/65/145 jets, its got a K&N RU2907 lunch box airfilter. Its got BT45 tires on it, 110/70/17 and 140/70/17. Its got licence plate bolt running lights. Its also got Progressive front suspension and Katana rear shock. The bike has shy of 11000 miles. Its clean and hasnt been dropped in ages. It was involved in one low speed accident/drop, but was fixed by the insurance and since then hasnt been dropped in speed (2 times i dropped it while getting on but its only got scratches). Regular maintanance has been done on it. Recent valve adjustment and fork seals and oil change. Battery might need replacing, but then the stock battery never was that great to begin with, but it does hold charge. Cost = $3200 OBO - Location: Los Angeles, CA
