Its a solid TV, blacks are VERY good, not quite the same as a Plasma, but very very solid. Blows away the Vizio I took back that's for sure. Avatar looks amazing on Blu Ray, for $799, its a stellar TV.

I love Samsung's Media player. Plug in a USB a watch a movie. No trans-coding or DVD burning necessary. May I suggest A Western Digital Live to get Internet to that TV?

You can suggest it sure.:biggrin: But I have no use for it. I can do Netflix etc etc from my Blu Ray player and I don't even use those.

Do you have it sitting inside of an old stand built for CRT televisions? It looks distracting as hell with all the reflections.

The unit was built for a 32" TV. I removed some of the pieces for the 55 to fit. There is no reflection from the unit when watching it normally. I actually get reflection from the wall behind me where I watch from though. I have done everything I can do prevent that, its just the nature of the screen.
