Nice Jeep. I don't like the big wheels though. When you lift, switch to 16" or 15" if they'll fit. You can put 33" tires on a stock JK, and 35" and higher with a small 2-3" lift. In the Jeep world, that is unheard of until now-- They've traditionally built vehicles with tiny wheel wells.

What gears are in the Sahara? I had 4.10s in the TJ and that thing had a lot of torque. I used to scare Lola because if I gunned it from a stop while making a turn the front left tire would come up off the ground about a foot

I'm betting you could sell the new Sahara wheels/tires for big bucks right now and then switch to 33" mud tires with black steelies and still make out on the deal.

I went with the 3.21 gearing since I'm still doing a lot of highway driving (And gas prices are still out there). Next year when my job moves to site a lot closer to home I was going to swap out for 4.10 (Possibly 4.88 if I put bigger tires)

Tundra is the Lexus of pickup trucks. A friend of mine just picked up a brand new 2006 Tundra Double Cab for $23k (he got over $7k in rebates and since he only owed about $9k on his 2005 GMC Sierra he had about $8k in equity in that POS). His payment is under $300/month. I drove the Tundra the other day, it's a sweet ride.

You don't drive a Jeep for the ride quality though. I used to have a 94 with an 8 inch lift and 33's. It was a hellish ride, but with no top and no doors you'd get the looks from the girls.

I like the Wrangler, and although I've never driven one, I couldnt imagine driving one as my daily in morning rush hour traffic in this city.

God no...we rented a Buick last summer and that thing was too cushy. It made me nauseous just riding in it for 30 minutes. I prefer something a little more sporty actually. Hell, I would have preferred a Ford Taurus to the Jeep as far as rentals go. All we had to choose from was a VW Bug or the Jeep though. At least the top came off the Jeep which is why we chose it.

In all fairness, I do like the color of the OP's Jeep. It's a nice looking vehicle. Good color choice. :thumbsup:

I owned a 2002 Jeep Wrangler for a little over a year before I sold it. Got tired of the road noise and the terrible ride. Carrying cargo was next to impossible due to the limited storage capacity. Ended up getting a 2005 Jeep Cherokee which is night and day in terms of comfort. Wranglers are not made for comfort, they are made for durability, but that was a compromise I could only take for so long. I also found the Cherokee was superior on winter roads compared to the Wrangler. Probably due to the fulltime FWD and traction control, and the overall weight.
