I got a job :)

It's at Pathmark (supermarket). Its not my dream IT job but it's a start. I was very surprised when they called, I'm generally a pessimist and didn't think I would hear back from any place that I applied to. If I hate it, I'll probably quit after a month. I need the experience, I've been self-employed for two years after high school and haven't had a real job yet. Also, hoping it will help with my shyness. Also, lucky for me I got this before the college kids came back and took all the jobs.


Maybe I can help them out, set up a wireless network to check the stock of all products in the store :Q and give each product its own IP address, starting with the tomatoes.

i used to work at a grocery store...it will help with shyness. it did for me. it isn't that bad of a job...better than fast food. Congrats man, hope you enjoy it!

The thing about working in a supermarket is that it's more of a social place rather than a job....it helps alot with shyness.

Let me see..... IT job, needs help with shyness. Sorry, but you are in the wrong field of work.

IT jobs will NOT be a cure for shyness (even in a supermarket). Are you sure it is shyness or pathetic skills at small talk (that is me).

One other thing, keep looking for a job you would like, but do not quit the job. If you are currently working in the IT field, that will help you land the better job as you are getting the experience. Quitting the job shortly after you get it will only have a negative impact (if you actually put it on your resume).
