YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! After being unemployed since late October, I finally found a place that would hire me. I only work weekends because of school and swimming, but after being let go at my previous workplace (since they didnt need anybody part time), I'm now going to be making pizzas at a local gourmet pizza place!! Finally! Money!

Congrats! 🙂

I wish I could say the same. Went in for an interview today and was so nervous I blew it. 🙁

Wow. You're worried about unemployment at 16?

When I pay for almost everything, yes. My parents pay the mortgage and car payments, but if I want to do anything social, I pay for it. If i want clothing other than necessities, I pay for it. If I'm looking for food outside of the house and we're not out as a family, I pay for it. I pay a portion of the family's car insurance. I pay for gas each week.

You're too young to worry about unemployment.
No kidding. Part time jobs are a dime a dozen ... wait till you really get out there... then you'll have cause for celebration when it happens.

They have raised you well 🙂

My friends have been outta work for a year, just found out today the wife is getting a job starting in January. Nice news.

Congratulations! So, is the pizza there any good?

Oh, and to show the owner how dedicated you are, you should volunteer for "quality control". You know, that beer has been sitting in the keg for a awful long time. You should offer to personally draw a sample (for testing purposes only, of course) every day just to make sure it's still good. Once you get good at the job, make random hourly samples.
