Figured it was time for a career change, but I'm still sort of in IT. I always wanted to work in TV somehow, so I applied with NBC. As in ATOT tradition, "I was accepted for a job offer!"

Anyway, started a several weeks ago, had to check with the producers to see whether or not it was okay to post vague bits about what I do. They said it was fine as long as I don't mention any names or anything like that. But here's my job, it's kinda cool, and a topic ATOT holds dear to it's heart.

Basically, we get all set up, and I'm given a list of a few names and a laptop. Then I log into chat rooms or social networking sites and start chatting up people from this list, pretending to be underage. Can you guess which show I work for (like I said, I can't name names).

Anyway, one of the "targets" on the list is a 39 year old dude who's into music and stuff. He thinks I'm his daughter's boyfriend, and I chat with him on Facebook. On the surface it looks like he's just watching out for his daughter, but it really feels like he's "into" me, using music as an excuse to try to get with me. He keeps talking about instruments and playing with them, mentioning stuff about teaching me "things". I guess that's why he's on our list. I really don't know how the producers find these people. But it's a good thing we're out there. I think they're definitely going to sting this guy in the next episode we shoot! I'll post more when the episode airs... in the meantime, this is so cool!

For some reason I surfed from the original right to this thread. OP, you pulled me right in...hook, line and sinker.
