That storm is nothing down there. You're lucky you get out of school.

I Know its really nothing, We dont put shutters up unless 70MPH or more. So.. It may not be so major or a may just skim off on the east coast. Who knows

yeup...people are starting to go crazy at the gas lines, grocery stores, etc.

Hopefully it stays weak....

Really, are you guys masochists or something? Why do you live in a place that gets pimp-smacked by Mother Nature every few years? It's not like the gorgeous weather makes up for it the rest of the time, you know...😛

Sure it does. I have no plans to ever move out of Florida.

I remember being told "that's the price you pay for living in paradise," the day after sleeping in a high school hallway in the Florida Panhandle, listening to the winds howl outside and the radio announcing tornados touching down all around the area, and then Hurricane Ivan making landfall at 3AM. I was worried about the car still being there in the morning; other people were losing their houses. I didn't understand it then, and I still don't. You do realize that there are vast areas of the globe with better weather, better geography, and fewer natural disasters? It's no paradise!

It's Ernesto Che Guevera's revenge on the expatriates in Florida. Bummer of a name for a hurricaine to hit south florida.

Ya. Its not gonna be a big deal it all. Im really hoping they dont cancel my classes on wed. I have a big online assignment due and I actually wanna go to school and get some homework help.

yeah living in florida for my than 20 years...thats just a rain storm. Im now in IL for a few more months but I haven't even asked the folks if they are boarded up yet as its not a strong storm. I will call them before and after though.

Even with the hurricanes, I love Florida. And being in central florida (dead center between tampa and orlando), we don't get hit too bad here.

lol. Ernesto! That was spanish name way back in high school.

Anyway, stay safe! Hope it's not bad.
