i got a free 1.8!!!

me and a friend from work "who live about 2 hours from chicago" heared about the AMD extrem performance tour. so we decided what the hell, lets go check it out. we heared you had to be there by six in the morning so we decided to beat everyone there and show up at 4 in the morning.
wehn we get there, i bet there was already at least 200 people there wich was OK because they were giving away 200 CPU's. but bye the time six oclock rolled around there were well over a thousand people there.
Anyway
It was a raffel type thing. you get a number they draw 200 numbers and everyone that is drawn gets a 1.8 as well as a main bored

well I GOT ONE!!!!!!!

and people in texas be ready i heared the next give away is in dallas
then after that there is one in michigan "somewhere"

Yup, that is true.

Still, i can understand AMD's choice, it is faster than a P4 2.0Ghz in almost every program but people don't get that, they think that the real measurment of performance is in the clock cycles, try to explain to them how it is about how much work the cpu can get done in one cycle*clock cycles and they just think that you are trying to fool them.
