the new SMB is fun if you're a mario fan. A little short.
mario kart ds for sure if you're a fan of the game (and all the old SNES course... so nostalgic)

I love brain age (and sudoku).

those are my big ones so far. I did not like the controls for metroid

Metroid takes a bit to get used to. But if you master the stylus controls, it's awesome, because it is similar to a mouse / keyboard (with the pad taking the place of the WASD) setup.

The DS is awesome, regardless of the genre of games you like. You won't be dissapointed with it.

What are some other good single cartridge multi-player games?

I got a DS for my kid and I a couple of months ago and we've been playing Mario Kart DS using one cartridge. Shy Guy FTW!

i got it for my 9yr old daughter, but ended up playing it all night last night

now i'm trying to get my own ds
