I got a credit card offer that will give me a free new computer...

Lifer
They'll give me a new Dell 3000 2.4Ghz Cel for signing up for their card and transferring $5000 into the account. Here's what the offer says:
You will be automatically eligible to receive your computer when you transfer $5000 of qualifying balances to your Upfront Rewards Visa. Then all you have to do is maintain a balance of $3500 for at least 18 months. Don't have that much to transfer? No problem. You can request up to $2500 in cash advances to make up the differnece. There are no fees for these initial transactions.

Tricky creditors... 11% APR on those balances and 20% on cash advances....plus they have every deliquency clause I've ever seen thrown into this one so if you think you're getting raped with the contract now, just wait until you're a day late on a payment.

EDIT....by the way, it's already been ripped up. 😉

I think you get the computer up front with the deal, but you have to maintain the balance or they probably bill you some crazy fee as a penalty. You already have a line of credit with them, it'd be easy for them to do it.

I get worried when they offer things like this because people are stupid enough to think they are deals. I hate it when people prey on the dumb and uninformed.
