OK, it's not everyday that I get excited about a B+ in Econ. Why am I so happy?
1. Officially gets me back in good academic standing. I'm no longer on academic probation, meaning I need a good streak of screwups if they're ever going to think about kicking me out of school again.
2. This breaks my 3 month "bad" streak. How bad has it been? I find out that my live-in gf has been cheating on me, then I find out she doesn't have anywhere to stay, and not having the heart to throw her out I let her stay until she figures her life out. On top of that I haven't been able to sleep, my drinking has gotten out of control at times, and I've been buying up audio equipment like crazy only to find myself in debt. Plus I'm fighting BOA over a credit card that was closed 2 years ago but somehow was still charged, fighting Fed Fin Aid because they didn't know I was in school last quarter, and I lost $1000 because someone bought some XBox's off me and paid with a phony cashier's check. But at least I don't have to worry about getting kicked out of school anymore, which is a huge burden off my shoulders. Everything else will eventually turn around, I'll just stay away from Hot Deals for a while.
3. I'm not a total failure at school. There's still hope for me to graduate and that's a very good thing.
So say what you may, I will not be denied this moment of glory. Life is good for a change.
