Hello AT. I recently ordered a AMD XP 1700+ from newegg.com for an amazing price of $50. Could someone hook me up with a website that tells me what temps it operates at and misc by entering the info from the black sticker? I do know the stepping is AIUGA0247MPMW.

The temp that it operates at will depend on all the obvious factors: heatsink, fan, thermal compound, case ventilation, voltage, actual clock speed, etc. You can find some info about CPUs at http://www.sandpile.org including the typical and maximum thermal generation of the core (in your case, 44.9 and 49.4W respectively, when operating at 1467MHz as designed).

Don't fall into the trap of comparing your mobo readings to other peoples' mobo readings, they are not calibrated the same from brand to brand or model to model, except by random chance. :p

I know, I built a brand new computer for my friend and I used a Asus mobo. Since he needed extra power and I didn't I gave him my 1.3Ghz T-Bird with a speeze cooler from newegg.com. It was running 5C cooler than what my Abit mobo was with a MUCH better Taisol. Hopefully when I stick this baby in, the internal probe should yield much more accurate readings. Of course that won't be until I get me Abit NF7-S or Asus A7N8X Deluxe!
