I got a $50 ticket

I walk out to my car right now at 1am, & what do I see? They put a $50 ticket on my car because I didnt move my car for street cleaning. I came home last night at around 3am, there was no sign there! I remember because when I walked a block away I seen signs there so I went by my car to double check & there was nothing! It says I can contest by mail or request a in person hearing. Which should I do?

I parked about 3 blocks away, I didnt see a sign! They dont do street cleaning every week...

Everywhere I have seen does it every week. And if you parked 3 blocks away, my original assumption was wrong. I guess you could dispute it if you actually think they just put up the sign after you left or something.

Everywhere I have seen does it every week. And if you parked 3 blocks away, my original assumption was wrong. I guess you could dispute it if you actually think they just put up the sign after you left or something.

I got stuck with a similar thing. I parked at a location at around 2pm, ended up going out to dinner bar hopping, went to a late movie, and then crashed at a friends place. Came back and there was a ticket for parking between 3am-6am. I was like wtf because tehre was no sign when I left it, or when I picked it up.

Turns out that they put the signs up at 9pm, and pick them up at 8am. I have no clue how thats legal, and I contested it but lost. Why can't they just leave a sign up all the time???

So is there a sign now or isn't there one at all? I'm sure someone keeps records of wigns and when they are put up, taken down, repaired, etc. You should be able to contest it fairly easily.

Every week? In my old neighborhood it was once a year and in most places it's never.
