Weird. I just got a 100% on my managerial accounting exam. Of course, managerial accounting is freaking easy.

Managerial accounting is fun. I'd like to delve into it sometime during my career.

I got a 92. its so weird..i always thought I would hate accouting becuase my dad was an accountant for some rather large companies and while he got very high position jobs he worked..TONs. But now that I am actually doing it I actually kinda like it. I am taking Financial accounting right now.

Basic financial accounting is really interesting, at least to me, brings in the different aspects of finance, economics, law, etc, to build a basic framework. I liked financial accounting all through undergrad, but decided that I didn't want to DO it necessarily. I liked financial, managerial, and tax accounting, and financial analysis, and I chose tax as an area to work in for now.

I don't have any illusions, though, about what is expected as a consulting firm, especially one of the Big 4. For the first four, five years, you're a workhorse, and it doesn't get much better as a manager or senior manager. You put in long hours, and, if you want to handle it, you can do rather well.

Yeah same thing with my dad. He got his MBA and then got a pretty entry lvl job for a company. He showed he was smart and was willing to work as long as needed and he moved up fast. This first accoutning class seemed interesting, but i dont know about a career in it. I only know this one class and i assume a job in accounting isnt all the exciting.

Hah, which reminds..there was a question on the exam that I got wrong..but i pointed out to him that question didnt give enough info to answer the question....he said it was a trick question and one was correct. Gave my dad the question and he was like "Tell this guy that I was in charge of blah for the entire blah country for blah company..you cant answer this question and he's wrong!" i had a good laugh.

I've taken lots of classes where you would have to have studied your a$$ off to get a 38%. Of course, if it was all true/false then that suxorz.
