Citrix, I got sunburnt two weeks ago and my shoulders are still peeling. I was fishing with my shirt off for about 3 hours with no sunblock. 3 or 4 moles / dark freckles have appeared on my shoulders and a couple on my arms. I'm very dark complected anyway, so the freckles look like little black dots on my arms. They come every summer. I'd go ahead and see a derm to be safe, but I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if you have any Irish in you. And if you don't, would ya like some? Joke!

Go see a dermatologist. A year ago a good friend of mine died from skin cancer caused by too much sun exposure. It's that serious. Set up an appointment today if you know what is good for yourself.

Moles are formed by concentrations of melanin in the skin and are natural when exposed to too much sun.

However, since you got them from 2nd degree burns, I'd go see a dermatologist ASAP.

Discoloration and irregular/non-symmetrical moles = you should be worried

irregular shaped, raised or >3mm moles are cause for concern. Small, round flat ones should be okay
