I got 2 points on my license that shouldn't be there, how do I get them removed?

I just got a notice in the mail that my my driving privelages are now on probation.

I got pulled over 8/8/03 for:
---(1) Unauthorized or improper use of lights [illegal fog lights] and
---(2) No proof of insurance [it was in my car but I couldnt find it].

I went to the police station and the officer WAIVED IT ALL and said I'd be recieving no points for it, now why the heck do I have those 2 points on my license?

Additionally I got pulled over 8/29/03 for illegal interior lights [neons] and again on 10/06/03 for doing 55 in a 45 which landed me another 2 points, and now I'm on probation with 4 points. Any idea's?:confused:


UPDATE
Went to the state police yesterday and explained to them that the ticket was in fact a repair order and that the officer waived it. They told me it wasn't there problem and that the court was the one who made the mistake. So I drove over to the court house and explained everything to the lady there and she got out the ticket and sure enough they had made a mistake. She removed the 2 points and faxed a letter to the secretary of state as well :)

Go down to the DMV with a heart full of purpose and intent, sit for six hours and realize it's not worth the trouble. Problem solved.

But what has me puzzled is that the ticket i recieved was a repair order, not a ticket persay, and as i said before the officer waived it all....

Why don't you call the DMV and find out? How about contacting the police station which you got the waiver? Find all documentation.

I was thinking about popping two super huge PIAA fog lights with a replacement bumper for the day I might actually rally with my civic!

Wait - there are illegal interior lights? Since when? (So long as you can't see it from outside)

If neon interior lights are illegal, WHY THE HELL ARE THERE SO MANY IDIOT SUVS RUNNING AROUND WITH BRIGHT ASS LCDS IN THE BACK?

TV is more distracting to other drivers than neon lights ever could be.

Well let me clarify before getting flamed anymore. The fog lights weren't the correct shade of white/yellow and they were too bright. As far as the neon's are concerned you couldnt see them from the outside, all he could see was the glow of my BLUE cd player lcd screen. I dont care what you guys think about me as far as having neon lights or being a "ricer" big fvckin deal. All i wanted to know was if it is possible to find out how and if so how to get the points removed that arent supposed to be there. thats all!

Looks like it's well deserved if it's recorded.
As to the first officer "waived" the first 2 points, maybe he didn't do it after all.
What can you do?
Maybe go back to him and hoping he still remembers you.

Don't get me started on all the morons with the lcd screens in their car. Last thing we need is an idiot busy watching their screen and not keeping their eyes on the road.
