I'm pretty clueless and I know I should be going to the A/V forums but I'm going to try here first.

the westinghouse stuff i've been seeing online or at bestbuy?

my 45" Aquos cost me 3400 bucks. but its worth every penny 😀

I would get the 50 inch Sony SXRD A2000.
The best bang for your buck right now.
Check out AVS forums.
I am enjoying mine right now

I have the same problem but I dont have the same budget, anyone have any suggestions around $7-800 (probably dont need much over 30")

alot of it comes down to what type of applications (tv, pc, dvd, consoles, etc) you'll be using it for and your room setup (space, lighting, etc).....

I am telling you right now go to Costco and pick up the Vizio 50" Plasma Model#P50HD. I believe it retails for 2,199.99 now in the stores. And it comes with Costco's unbeatable return policy.

DirecTivo HD + Xbox 360 and natural light from the left adjacent wall with dimming ceiling lights. We would like an LCD TV to hang on the wall too

I could not get link to work. Anyone else know of any good TV's from reputable sources?
go to amazon and search for hls5087

Ok this looks the best so far but what are the main differences between LCD and DLP? I was leaning more towards LCD because DLP's have moving parts

That TV is $1899.
If you want to save even more money, buy the 42" Vizio for $1299.
Of course with Costco return policy, its the best deal.

I walked away from an awesome deal this Sunday at Sears. Got a price match for $2349 from Fry's vs their own price of $3045. Price match +10% of the difference netted me a Panasonic TH-50PX60U for $2356 out the door including taxes. Damn Im a happy mofo.

go for a plasma over an LCD! better picture and cheaper when looling at 42" and up
try going over to Costco they have some decent prices most of the time and you can return the thing ANY time for any reason even 4 years down the road.
