I give up..please help

I have a Belkin G+ router and two Belkin G+ wireless cards. One comp is wired to the router adn the other 2 are wireless. All comps have internet. The 2 wireless computers can see each other and share files but the wired one is retarded and wont connect to network for file sharing. All the wizards have been tried but wont work.

The node type is listed as unknown in ipconfig but the other two say hybrid, could that be the problem?

Ok, can the desktop access either of the laptops by going to Network Places then choosing their workgroup and then selecting the laptop? Do you have a firewall on the wired computer?

Actually its two other computers, and no when I go to network places and click on view workgroup computers it gives me an error message saying the my netowrk is unavailable. All three computers are firewalled but have the ip addresses of each other in the trusted zone.

And I will check out that link Jack thanks.

Check the forum for "can't see others in workgroup". Same deal. Just type the computer name in directly rather than looking for the icon.

They could ping each other yes. Even though we set Zonealarm to allow all of our home network ip addresses it still wasnt allowing communication from the wired one until we turned off Zone Alarm. No setting we changed in Zone Alarm would allow them to talk. We just stuck another wireless card in it as well and it works fine. Windows home networking needs to drastically improve. I did manage to change the node type so that it was set the same as the other wireless computers but that didnt help either. At this point it will remain a mystery.

Thanks for all the suggestions and helpful advice though.
