Why the fvck is there a lightning bolt in the middle of my text? When I press tab, the line should move over. IT SHOULDN'T INSERT ANY LIGHTNING BOLT GRAPHICS.

How the hell do I get rid of this lightning bolt POS?

That's an auto-formatting thing. Click on it and select "Do not autoformat" on the drop-down menu. I believe that's how you get rid of it.

No, but they came around and said "all the machines are being upgraded to office 2003", and then they installed office 2003, and I don't have admin rights.

Because it's warning you of something and/or providing additional options. Click on it and you'll see what they are.

Or ignore it and it'll go away after you leave the text; it's not actually there in the text, it's merely super-imposed.

LOL office noob
Indeed.

It looks like your spellchecker isn't working either by looking at the thread title.

Well, do you want the little lightning bolt or do you want Clippit raised from the dead?

I'll take the lightning bolt.

Outlook has a lot of anti-spam facilities IIRC. Also Access has a lot of new propagation options and security measures against malicious code.

Corel Suite is better than MSOffice.
