um and whats wrong with wireless?
I game on wireless 100% of the time..
my whole house is wireless...

obviously there is something in your house (2.5ghz wireless phone maybe?)
or something else causing you interruptions and slowdowns...
I play WoW.. Guildwars, BF2 BF1942(DC) BFV and a few other apps that demand a steady fast internet connection and with my wireless set up and 6 other clients (laptops other workstations and PDAs and my 360 I have no issues at all.

OP, what wireless router have you been using? Using the right router makes all the difference. I went through 3 or 4 routers before I got to the Linksys WRT54GS, which solved all my problems.

I've been using WIFI in my house for years now and I refuse to live without it. I hate running wires. Once I figured out that I was being a dumbass in setting it up and learned how to use WIFI properly, it's been working flawlessly.

read: dumbass = not being familiar with custom firmware, etc.

Well it doesn't matter anyways cause when I setup the computer at my friends house I ran an ethernet into his room and hes thoroughly enjoying it.

My wifi is fast enough for games. It's faster than a cable connection is anyway.

It's not the bandwidth that matters, it's the latency and the reliability...

No problems in those areas either.

it's completely dependant of your confguration and your physical envirmoment and conditions...

oh, and try running a high-use fileerver on wireless with multiple clients;)

LOL why would someone think that is a good idea?
