What exactly did you touch it with and why? I've touched my card before in the case just to get a general idea of how hot it was getting but I made sure I was grounded before I touched it.
 
One word comes to mind...IDIOT!

The $99 GeForce 3 200 Ti is Friday only at Best Buy, good luck fighting the crowds!!
 
oh my goodness while my GF3 was running I touched the it with a piece of copper next thing I know there was a spark and smoke!@
