The ratio of people to cake is too big.

Someone watched Seinfeld tonight.

wtf??????

Yea, good thing seinfeld is re-runs, and that exact episode was probably only shown in your area.

And in other news, that quote belongs to office space anyways.

those graphics don't look very good

I am running a 6800GT@1680x1050, 0AA. This game is taxing and most of my settings are turned down to achieve 40-60 FPS.

For me, games arent necessarily about the graphics. The gameplay itself and fluidity is what makes a game sir😉

i am running the same gfx card, but with HL2 i preferred to run the game with more bells and whistles (4xAA, everything on high) and live with a 30-50 FPS.

the effects really make a game for me.

now, playing multiplayer, i turn everything down.

edit: i just bought this game today but have yet to play it. i guess i was hoping for more from all the raving reviews out there.

HL2 is a whole different ball of wax. That game was optimized to run very well on just about anything. I run HL2 all settings maxed 8AA, 16AF and its 40-60 FPS.

Of course if I can run a game on high/maximum settings and still get acceptable and playable FPS, I will. With FEAR and everything turned up except soft shadows, I was only getting high 20's and low 30's, thats not what I consider fun and fluid.

Gameplay itself is still top dog for me regardless

...why are the edges jagged? i thought it had good graphics...
EDIT: shouldn't the heavy use of shaders make it look better?
