I work in a mall, so walking out of the parking lot to my car. I see this open wallet purse on the floor. Theres a little clip that holds the wallet purse together when folded. It was not open. I look around, see no one around it, and I pick it up. The mall is closed, so lost and found isn't available. I figured I could find a way to give it back to this girl.
Has this girls licenses, a school id, some blockbuster card, car keys, and a few other cards I didn't bother looking at. There was no cash inside. Though there could be some inside, I didn't do a heavy search, it isn't any of my business whats in there.
On the back of the blockbuster card, it shows her phone number, and her licenses shows her address.
I assume this girl lost her purse, someone found it, stole whatever cash was in it, and left it in the parkling lot. It must have been there for a while, as I was walking to my car at 11:00pm, and the mall closes at 9:30pm.
Any idea how I should go about giving it to this girl? My best idea was to give the house a call, and let her know I have her purse, and work out a way to get it to her.
I think Lost and Found is a pretty crappy service, as they usually wait for people to come pick it up, rather than giving an effort to give it back to the person. Should I call the police and let them deal with it?
Your suggestions?
Thanks
Jonathan
