I was just looking at my 550mhz Athlon when I noticed that the pcb is slightly bent, or the heatplate, not sure, hardly noticable. Anyway, there is space between the L2 rizers on the heatplate and the L2 chips, only a thick layer of goo between. That space is about 1mm and thats wayy to much.

I guess AMD fucked up with this processor. Still I can run it at 850mhz 100% stable..... it was stable at least.

Czar,

AMD didn't mess up. The cache chips don't get hot, by applying a thick layer of goop, it acts as an insulator, preventing the heat in the heatplate from radiating into the cache.
