I found a keylogger inside PowerDVD?!!

My Pc has been protected by kaspersky 6 up until the day before yesterday when i upgraded to kaspersky 7.
kaspersky 7 discovered a keylogger in PowerDVD.exe
It detects it as soon as I run powerDVD but it doesn't treat it and it doesn't save it as a report.
PowerDVD opens up, asks me to connect to the internet.after I refuse it shutsdown.
I didn't download my copy of PowerDVD, It was on a CD that came along with my DVD rom.

First of all, why can kaspersky 7 detect this while kaspersky 6 couldn't?
How the hell did this get there?
and how can I get rid of it? I mean will simply uninstalling PowerDVD work?
Is there any way i can find out how much damage has been done?

I also suspect a false positive. Is PowerDVD signed (I forget), can you check if it has a valid digital cert on it?
