I Found a Chinese Distributor For PS3

I found a company in China that sent me an email telling me they have 1000 units of the PS3 in the 20GB and 60GB.

What is the possibility of this? I thought the market was completely bought out, and finding someone with a stock from a distributor impossible for the USA market.

I'm going to investigate this situation very careful, and see if this company in China is who they say they are, and do in deed have these.

I just wanted to hear from people that know what is going on exactly with the PS3 market, and how many of these where made for the North American market, etc... And if buying these wholesale from a distributor, can still be done?

Please out of respect for this post, I'm seriously considering this, and I don't need to hear it from kids that have no clue about this. I only want to hear it from those that might consider themselves somewhat professional on the matter, have dealings with Playstation, have an insiders scoop, or know someone, etc...

I don't mean to be rude here, but if you have no real clue here, and are just taking a guess, then please keep it to yourself, you're not helping, and thanks for your understanding.

If it seems too good to be true, it usually is......

The possibility of WHAT?

1. That you'll get totally ripped off; they'll take your money and you get nothing
2. This is legit only if you buy 1,000 units or more and are willing to pay shipping via boat, and have the appropriate importers license, etc

???

I think your chances are 0%. Really.

Sorry I'm trying to find people that might either work in this industry, have friends or family that do, or at least they are a hardcore PS gamer, and knows everything about what is going on, that is all I meant by this.

Having someone tell me, well gee it might not be real, isn't going to really help anything.

THANKS & ALOHA

Well of course I'm going to check out all the credentials I need to, but just because someone in China can produce these, doesn't mean they are not possibly on the black market working either.

So my QUESTION is, I thought the PS3 market was completely sold out as in there are no distributors you can buy these from for North America, so even if you found a distributor they couldn't possibly have units for the American market....

Does this now make sense what I'm saying?

In a nuttshell I was under the impression you can't find anyone in the world to buy these from in volume sales like this for North American units, they are all accounted for?

Please send them all your money and take plenty of pictures when you unbox your PS3.

How can I say this nicely? You are a nobody. You have no importer credentials, your name is not known in the Asian electronics market/export game.

IOW, you're prime meat for a BBQ. IOOW, a sucker looking for someone to steal his wallet. Is that clear enough for you?

Do what you want w/your money. Don't say we didn't tell you so. :p

If you really wanted a PS3, you'd already be signed up to wait in line for 445 hours at WorstBuy like the other fanboys.

If you really wanted to make money on this, you'd already have invested $10K+ on preorders and "line standers" for you.

You're late. And you're nobody. Play your PS2 and wait like everyone else.

the only way a company in china would have 1000 ps3's right now is if they stole them from the factory.

It might be harsh, but I'd say listen to MichaelD. If you're going to go through with it, go for it. You're aching to hear some support from the other ATOT folks but you're not going to get it.

I have all the credentials in the world to make a $500,000 USD purchase, so I'd PLEASE greatly appreciate it keeping the remarks to yourself and be respectful, I'm not 16.

ATTN:
Dear Sir/M,
I am Mr.David Mark. an Auditor of a INTERNATIONAL PLAYSTATION CONSORTIUM
(IPC). I have the courage to Crave indulgence for
this important business
believing that you will never let me down
either now or in the future. Some
months ago, an American Investor
consultant/ contractor with the SONY corporation,
made a numbered time (fixed)deposit for 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) to
secure PLAYSTATION 3. Now, SONY CORPORATION
sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no
reply.
After a month, The SONY sent another reminder and finally his
contract
employers, the SONY Corporation wrote
to inform the bank
that he died without MAKING A WILL, and all attempts
by the American Embassy to
trace his next of kin was fruitless. I
therefore, made further investigation and
discovered that the
beneficiary was an immigrant from Jamaica and only recently
obtained
American citizenship. He did not decla re any kin or relations in all
his official documents, including his SONY deposit paper work. This
transaction total 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) PLAYSTATION 3 is
now available for delivery. No one will ever come forward to claim
it, and according to SONY policy, after some months, the PLAYSTATION 3
will revert to the
ownership of the Chinese Government if the
account owner is certified dead. This
is the situation, and my proposal
is that I am looking for a foreigner who will
stand in as the next of
kin to beneficiary, and OPEN a Bank Account abroad to
facilitate the
transfer of the PLAYSTATION 3. This is simple, all you have to do is to
OPEN
an account anywhere in the world and secure the additional funding needed for
the 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) PLAYSTATION 3. Send me its detail for me to
arrange
the proper money transfer paperwork, and facilitate the
transfer. The PLAYSTATION 3 will then be delivered to your location. There is
no risk at all, and all the
paper work for this transaction will be done by me
using my position
and connections in the banks in China. This business
transaction is
guaranteed. If you are
interested, please reply immediately through my personal email sending
the
following details: (1) Your Full Name/Address (2) Your Private
Telephone/fax
Number. Please observe the utmost confidentiality, and be
rest assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of
us because I shall require your
assistance to invest some of my share
in your country. I look forward to your
earliest reply.
Yours,
Mr.David
Mark.

NO WAY would this company have 1000 units, considering only 80'000 went to the Japanese market and they are all sold out.

I'm not talking a Fanboy deal, and I'm not 16, I'm a businessman looking to make a half million dollar purchase, not some kid standing in line looking to buy one to play on.

I was not looking before at this market to make any purchases, so I was not completely aware how saturated this had become, but form some sources I was told big volume sales such as this could still be purchased from a few overseas exporters.

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE PEOPLE BEING RESPECTFUL AND NOT FLAME PLEASE, AS I WOULD SHOW YOU THE SAME RESPECT, THANKS

Then please shut up because you don't even listen to what anything ATOT tells you. Why do you bother to post here? Do you want publicity? Seriously, go throw your 500,000 away and if you really od make a good investment, kudos to you, but until then, we'll be practical.

Give me a break buddy. If you really had that kind of credit, you sure as hell wouldn't be asking about how to use it here! LMAO! You'd have an accountant and/or broker who dealt w/these kinds of things.

If you happen to have an Amex Black card, good for you. Lemme know what you do with those 999 empty PS3 boxes you get.

Weird. You don't sound nearly smart enough to be capable of a half million dollar purchase.

All he is saying that the chances of this being a legitimate buy are extreeeeemely slim. In fact, I would have to agree that it's impossible that this so-called distributor has 100 units that are readily available to you, or general public. Just because you have 500k to spend does not mean that you have the proper credentials or CONNECTIONS to make this purchase.

Yes this is what I'm trying to figure out, because I was told Sony only made 400,000 units for the North American market, and really under sold themselves on this, and I was told again that possibly all the units for these to N. America where no longer available, like there is nobody you can really get these from.
