I found $10

I found a $20 once beside an atm slip.
Poor person only had less then $50 in the bank.
So I returned it to the bank, to get them to give it back to the person.

cute story, but for all you know it could have been some other good samaritan that saw the slip and decided to make a donation.

Likelihood it would get to the intended recipient = 0 ... so props to you for making it happen.

Man, that's a blast from the past.
Sadly, I still remember the whole jingle...

As I put on my daily attire,
I got my button-flies out of the drier.
And next thing I know, I'm a wealthy man of means:

And now I REALLY want a monte cristo.
 
I found $63 on a sidewalk in New York City once. I didn't pick it up though, someone else did (I was too stupid and stared at it and pointed at it and poked my friend and asked him "hey do you see that? cash! i wonder if someone dropped it?" and when I was done someone had already picked it up.)
 
I found $4 at ZCMI in the University Mall once...told the nearest cashier about it, and he said to keep it...
