"University of Pennsylvania's ModLab is doing some interesting stuff with modular robots. In this case involving absolutely no weapons! An example clip on youtube shows one of their cluster robots re-assembling itself after being kicked apart. For more information about the program check out their site. So let the Borg and Terminator jokes begin!"

Pretty damn cool! I wish my sammich could do this, it just totally fell apart when I grabbed it and now I have to try and piece it back together before I can eat it. :(

"After reassembly, the cluster stands up and continues its task."

*robot pitches forward face-first and breaks apart again*

I think it'll be a few years before "overlord" status is reached.

Meh... it's cool but not all that impressive, they designed a robot thats sole purpose was to be able to be kicked into 3 pieces and rearrange itself.
