Hi, I need help. I can't turn off my computer. It's always restarting even though I choose shut down. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks

I am running Win 98 SE on Intel LX motherboard.

Thanks

I am still having the same problem here. I've tried defragmenting it and also have patched the file and it doesn't do anything. I believe my registry is corrupted. Is there anyway I can fix my registry? Will Reinstalling Win 98 help me? I did reinstall my Win 98 and don't see any progress. Any other suggestion that can help me solving this problem? Thanks in advance

make sure that you have the file applog.ind in folder "c:\windows\application log" is exist. I used vramdir last time and I deleted the file. As a result my system always restart when I choose to shut it down.
