So...your pipes were full of roaches and you cleared the pipes by killing the roaches w/boric acid?
That's what it sounds like, dude.

The boric acid is sold as a powder you can spray under the house. It kinda fogs out and settles on the ground. The insects get it on their legs when they crawl through it.
When they clean their legs off, they ingest it. And it dissolves their insides and they starve and die a slow painful death. I find there bodies under there, being colonized by fungi.

Fortunately I do not lick myself clean.
My understanding of boric acid is that it is a desiccant that robs the body of moisture. It crystallizes inside the intestine of the animal and the effect rupture (cut up) the lining causing death.Originally posted by: Oceandevi

Back in the day, chlordane was the shit. Spray that stuff under your house and it would sterilize it for the next ten years. Anything that went under there died. It would also leach into the ground and was a persistent environmental toxin, a drawback to be sure, but damn did it work.

DDT was good too. Killed insects, snakes, rats, birds, pets, people. Guess the last two or three things was considered just a bit too effective.
I like seven dust for under houses and salt for weeds.
