Man, what a great game. The story behind it was awesome and the map building was great. The levels were very atmospheric and the flying ghosts were very cool. It's just a shame that it uses the slow-ass UT engine for the rendering. Some things I noticed:
-Old save games are not overwritten as new ones appear. By the time I had finished the game, I had a 92 MB folder of save games.
-Even when running in 32 bit colour, the fog and sky textures were still using 16 bits and hence looked ugly. I tried tinkering with the config file to manually fix the problem but I couldn't.
-Quickload (F7) should work as soon as I press it but there are times it doesn't work. For example, when playing the various death animations when Patrick dies. I have to watch the death scene, wait for the game to load its last saved game and then I can load my game. It's sometimes very frustrating.
-I could never figure out how to get the Skull Storm spell to work. Every time I cast it, Patrick's right hand waved in the air but nothing happened.
If anyone's got any suggestions toward those points, I'm all ears. Other than those minor gripes, the game was awesome. The single player campaign was long and interesting, which is just the way I like single player scenarios.
