I think it supports my belief that gun violence is not the direct result of gun availability, but the compulsive fear introduced into our society by the fact that competition drives selfishness, the willingness of so many to create a need by stoking paranoid fears. So if you have a brain the way to gain is to not care who else gets fucked. It’s all about I me, me, mine. Got to have money because it buys happiness. Just look at skid row. Our society is just an enormous Mafia protection racket.
IMO the fear is actually the key element. Republicans introduced distrust of the government, and fear for one's safety due to the government's inability to defend itself, much less them. Add in a little Russia-backed NRA propaganda, and you get a booming business for firearm manufacturers.

Without the career politicians, a bunch of greedy bastards, which term limits would eliminate. NRA, big pharma, oil, coal, etc., won't invest the millions on someone that won't be in office that long.

No, term limits would not stop that, in fact it would likely increase that as the possibility for making a quick buck versus a long term career would be much more likely.
