I find it a bit ironic that MS uses a Java applet to distribute the ISO of Win7.

Yes yes I know it's nothing to post about really but I just find it funny how hard MS fought Java and now is using a Java applet to distribute Win7.

They are doing it to show their superiority over Sun. You see, when you are in a position of power, it is sometimes fun to play games with the minds of weaklings. I have, on many occasions, given weapons to those I am about to slaughter, so that they will have a fighting chance. It makes my job much more exciting to see innocents fighting with everything they have.

What else would they use?

Nothing, MS never developed a good industry wide alternative to Java that caught on at large. Not saying MS should use something else. I just chuckle thinking about it given how hard they fought to crush Java.

Everyone knows this.

The weird thing is there is nothing about this that demands an alternative to Java. They could just as easily have done a Torrent or straight download link up in this bitch.

I thought it was interesting that now when you install Java it asks if you want to install the msn toolbar.
