I find a Newegg billboard in the place I least expected it.

Ok, since I'm asian (there, no azn, heh.), I have to go grocery shopping in chinatown every once in a while. If any of you live in downtown Seattle, Washington, and actually go to chinatown, you'd know where to find it. So we go to this really poor store (I'm not poor, my parents are just ultra cheap) in a poor block(but really cheap) called Hau Hau Supermarket... With bugs and crap flying in there... So then when parking, I saw across the street, a Newegg billboard...

WTF is that thing doing on top of a parking lot facing away from the middle of chinatown?... Why is it even IN chinatown? Why is it even in Seattle?.

No pics, didn't know it existed cause it wasn't there 2 weeks ago... I'll bring my digital camera next time.

The billboard said
"Sunday, your place." Showing a plasma TV with the "add to cart" checkmarked. Heh...

Cuz we asians while being frugal on everything, like to splurge on techojunk.
This is my observation while living in Taiwan...

Ummm, you're asian and have to ask this? Have you never seen a group of asian tourists? They have more cameras, video recorders, and gadgets than the local best buy store!

Why does being Asian somehow force you to shop in chinatown?

What I was thinking..

Most likely cause
1- Its cheaper (even though it wastes more gas)
2- It has asian stuff that regular grocery stores don't sell
3- you can talk in your foreign language (too bad im not bilingual)
4- Asian restaurants are nice.. :)

So you spend more money in gas to be able to buy cheaper products. Doesn't the total spenditure come out the same or more expensive with today's gas prices?

Besides, asian restaurants are everywhere around here and we have a Chinatown too (Portland) :p
