I finally watched Skyfall...

wow... that was a steaming turd. Am I the only one left questioning how this movie got made?

Other than the train/crane scene, there wasn't much reminiscent of a Bond film throughout the entire movie. And don't even get me started on how ridiculous/silly some of the scenes were (yes - too ridiculous/silly for a Bond film, which thrives on ridiculous/silly action).

Ughhh, if this wasn't Netflix I'd be pissed for shelling out money to see this nonsense.

I'm going to do minor spoilers of the movie in the next paragraph, so beware...

Yeah, it was awful. I like how they threw away the entire plot of Bardem being some new kind of terrifying cybervillain (which people keep trying to push as scary and continue to fail at) and end up just having the guy throw 150 dudes at Bond at the end.

Also, the secret of Skyfall is that it was completely irrelevant to anything. Way to go writers.

Steaming pile of turd. Not a single person made a rational decision in that movie...

Or that they threw away the whole notion of exposed secret agents that was supposedly driving the plot. I guess we're just supposed to assume that killing Bardem magically makes the list of agents disappear.

My personal favorite, however, was the perfectly placed explosive to drop a train on a pursuing Bond because, well, you know, just because.

I thought it was just meh. I hate the "computer magic" sequences though. Those always piss me off when the plot revolves around Swordfish style computer magic effects.

I didn't mind it 3.5/5 certainly didn't think it was bad. That said I concur with the "didn't feel quite like a bond movie" point of view.

Definitely the worst of Craig's Bond appearances, but infinitely better than all of Brosnan's combined.

It's a shame Craig is showing his age. He's a damn good Bond IMO.

The Pierce Brosnan films weren't great by any stretch but they all had that good old James Bond feel with corny jokes and old-fashioned fistacuffs aplenty. The Daniel Craig films are trying too hard to be Bourne movies imo.
