So my wife went out and bought me The Killers - Hot Fuss CD the other week. After listening to it all week I must say, this CD KICKS A$$. Every track in the compilation is good.

I've been hearing "Somebody Told Me" on the radio since winter '04. I was a bit skeptical at first and thought these guys would be a one hit wonder but, man was I wrong. I'd say these guys are talented.

Their sound, while progressive, reminds of the underground New Wave bands of the early '80s. At times it seems like their sound is a bit reminiscent of The Cure and Duran Duran.

They don't get nearly enough airplay in my area. I've only heard them played on one station here (and that is an independently owned one specializing in indie and alternative rock). If they got more airplay this album would sell much better.

Like I've already said, every song on this CD is damned good and I highly recommend it!

Yeah, it's an awesome album. In my current top five.

Check out The Bravery's self-titled debut album if you like the new-wave trend.

It's such a damn good CD. I almost DIDN'T buy it because Somebody Told Me really blows lyrically. But I love the CD other than that song. One of my favorite songs to play on bass and sing along with is All These Things That I've Done For You.

Yeah, Somebody Told Me is a great song but, the lyrics, by themselves, don't hold much weight.

IMO, their record producer "coached" them with that song to make it more palatable to the masses. I think they purposely dumbed it down. If you notice the pop trend, the dumbest, simplest songs tend to be easy hits.

Yeah. I love the music for it but good God are those some awful lyrics. Other than that, all the other songs are definitely  and I love jamming with them.
