Holy crap was it in bad shape...

Burning oil so bad the spark plugs would get clogged unless cleaned all the time.

Left rim had a dent that ruined the suspension.

Left boot, control arm and practically everthing else was shot

Clutch was all but done...

Noisy as all hell because of upgraded exhaust..not a fart can..a 25hz mosnter that my brother put on there:eek:

R.I.P.

I Could not have asked for a finer and mroe reliable vehicle.

Even in htat shape it provided a very comfortable, although deafiningly loud, ride at 80mph+ :)

i had a 90 with 196k on it - still had the original tranny and clutch!
finally had too many little things (speedo worked when it wanted, ac didn't blow unless u were doing over 40, power windows on the fritz....but I loved the thing still!)
good luck with whatever you get to replace it!

I'm driving a 93 accord w/160k miles
I've had to do a ton of stuff to it, and still have some to go...but I can't believe how much power this little OLD 4cyl has and still gets 28MPG. not too shabby for $1000

How much $$$ is it to get an o2 sensor changed? Did it make a big difference? I'm not sure how old the o2 sensor is on my 1989 Taurus.

226k miles. Running awesome.

I've got an '88 5spd. Love it. Mine also cost $300 and has over 270k miles. I'm not sure what my mpg is, but I can do 400 highway/350 city miles to the tank.
