And I'm not regretting it one bit. I sold off my PIII 700e and msi 6309 and used the profits to buy a new retail t-bird 850 and msi k7t pro. So far, so good.

We have a p3 933 stitting on the bench waiting for some peripherals at work, so I decided to try some benchmarking and comparing the results.

The results:
Content Creation 2000:
PIII 933: 37.6
Tbird 850: 35.8

Winstone 99:
PIII 933: 33.1
Tbird 850: 41.4

*looking on zd's website, the average score for a 933 should be around 42. I'll have to see what's wrong with the system at work tomorrow.

For anyone interested, the 933 has an intel 815 motherboard, TNT2 Pro Jaton card, 256MB Kingston PC 133, 45 GB ATA100 IBM drive running 98se. My box has a v3 2000, 256MB memman 133, 20 GB ATA66 Maxtor, and 2000pro sp-1.

Not bad for $300! (thanks, tcwo.com)
