Just a short rant...

First off, we had the Obamacare rollout mess.
Then the VA mess.
And as always, the never ending issues with illegals, borders, and now masses of illegal kids riding trains into freedom land..

One might think the US government a disaster?
A total mess?
Just like Fox News tells us every night, as well as Sarah Palin, and every other republican looney tune.
The government is bad and we need to kill it.

Then it struck me. Congress is part of the US government. Right?
That pretty much explains it right there.
There is the reason everything is such a huge nightmarish mess.
It is not Obama because it could never be just one man (or woman), that one top honcho.
It is in fact the entire US congress i.e. the US government.

The solution?
Well, for every other government disaster like SS or medicare or government assistance, the answer from the congress for fixing every and all of our government related problems was to "privatize it".
Turn it over to the public sector and the free market.

Well............................Folks

How about turning over the entire US elected congress to the private sector as well?
Take the government OUT of the congressional process all together.
Like with a business, where the decision makers either do their job, or get their ass kicked.

If we could devise some new system where simply running for, or elected to, were replaced by privatizing the entire process, we'd solve it all.
I mean... who really cares???
No one really votes anyone except those really pissed off.
And the ones that do vote only do so to show their distain for the status quo.
Not to improve anything....
Believe me?
Just look as every election statistic vs voter turnout over the last, what, ka-zillion elections.

Face reality.
The congress isn't doing anything anyway besides collecting a paycheck, voting themselves raises, and taking vacations.
So whats the point of having some government ran congress?
And wasting your tax dollars on what boils down to be paid privileged disgruntled union workers.
Just privatize all of them. Every damn one.

Just think...
We could exterminate the entire tea party, all the democrats, all the republicans AND Fox News all with one swoop.
Replaced with well paid, smart, intelligent, college educated, financial expert private citizens all running the entire country.
The VA scandal, the illegals issue, healthcare nightmares, everything. Solved!
Run the country like a business where religious ideology has no place at the table.
Brownie points have no place at the table.
Where some elected nut job and their idiocracy concerning climate change, science, and all decision making has absolutely positively no place at the table.
In others words... Just the facts, mam.

And if one of these highly paid intelligent board members cannot, or refuse to solve a problem, like healthcare or climate change or providing a safety net for the needy or taking care of returning service men and women with the highest efficiency, then as with any poor performing employee, FIRE THEIR ASS !!!

Don't wait for some election to roll around.
Forget about all those expensive brain damaging, and downright lying misleading campaign ads running 24/7.
We won't need any of that.
Just pay the very best wage to attract the very best intelligent employee to solve all the problems.

No more inbred fighting between political parties.
No more refusal not to act to solve problems.
No more comedy circus TV debates.
No more political TV stations.
Fox, MSNBC, CNN, all gone! Replaced by actual news stations reporting tornadoes and floods.

Just hire the very best of the best. And pay them well. Very well.
Just like you would expect to pay for the best attorney, best car mechanic, or the best doctor.
Get the job done and solve the problems, address the issues, look ahead to solve problems when you see them coming BEFORE they become the problem.
That last part alone would be a new one.

Turn the US congress building over for time-share apartments.
And The Whitehouse?
That could be turned into the best damn paintball park ever!!!

Privatize the whole darn thing, all of it, but first of all privatize the entire lazy brain-dead looney tunes US congress AND the presidency.
Hell.. no one ever likes the president anyway...
When is the last time any president had a job rating not in the red?
Or wasn't either stealing the Whitehouse silverware, or diddling some intern on the side.
Or BOTH!
I can't remember... Can you?

If one of the board members failed at their job with solving problems, or were caught in some perverse scandal, simply FIRE THEIR ASS! Immediately. ASAP!
No need to wait for an election.

Hell... with todays screwed up election system, elections are so misrepresentative of the people, it will not even matter.
All politicians lie. We know that.
All politicians are easily bought, sold, and paid for.
Individuals like the Koch brothers simply write a check to corrupt the outcome of every election of their choosing.
As well as corrupt any political candidate they so desire.
So whats the point????
Privatize the whole damn thing and lets get something done for a change.
I mean real change, not just some political slogan on some political poster.
And get it done with the best and smartest brains available.

F@@K the congress. Privatize their ass.
That is all they ever push, privatize privatize privatize.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right Mr Boenher?

Think about it.
Just think of all the problems we could solve.
And the number one problem we would solve? The entire US government.
And that includes the entire US congress and our current system of insanity.

Haven't we all had enough already with tis insanity of the political process?
All the insanity every 2 and 4 years?
And remember the definition of INSANITY?
Doing the same over and over with expecting different results.
Well... there you have it. In a nut shell.

PS. Sorry... long rant. ;)

Or... instead of hyperbole, you could work to strengthen State governments so the people's representatives can be closer to them.

I see you can't go 2 paragraphs in any of your rants without mentioning Fox News.
The government is bad and we need to kill it.

Just figure that out?

And as far as the rest of you post, we all get it. You want Obama to be king cause he is the only one with the know-how to fix everything. Never mind all those promises to fix everything he did while campaigning. It was all the republicans fault he went back on his word repeatedly. This time he would mean it.

Or we could just back to the idea that representatives represent the people rather than their party. When was the last time Michelle Bachmann went around and asked the people what they wanted, and then voted a certain way? Rather than just voting what the Republican party told her to? (I pick on her because she is my representative, but the same idea applies to the rest of them)

What we have now is just 2 votes in the house. The republican vote, and the democratic vote. How about if the people were able to vote saying she is not listening or doing her job, and she could be thrown in prison? That way she has to follow the will of the people. That to me, sounds like the best solution. Hold the bitch accountable.

Did she vote for the largest bill in US history that every poll in the US showed the people didn't want, or was that the Democrats?

She voted exactly as the Republican Party told her to... In that case, the Republican party aligned with the nation's polls.

What we have now is just 2 votes in the house. The republican vote, and the democratic vote.

Also solved by stronger States. People are less willing to march to a drum beat if they have competing interests. Instead we get a national agenda. It's our "unity" that drives the two party system and fuels partisanship.

Where's the third party? Can't do that, might lose the national election. Our national government is corrupt. Got to trim it back and start over from a lower level.

It's real easy, the President doesn't want to work with the opposition led Congress and vice versa, the Senate (same party of the President) doesn't want to put forth any bills passed by the Congress and the Congress doesn't want to put forth any bills passed by the Senate.

The whole deal is more screwed up than Hogan's goat.

when the all knowing "supreme" court: declared: Campaign Contributions as Free Speech I lost all faith and hope.

You have hit upon one of the main things that has led to the current mess.

We need a 28th Amendment which state that only natural people (those who are born, not corporate constructs) can have free speech or other rights and that money is not speech.

If money is speech then prostitution should be legal since current laws infringe on peoples' rights to speak to prostitutes.

The problem is that those with most money (companies and persons) use their money to pressure politicians to make them even richer and in that process fvcking everybody else.

The Supreme Court really is completely out of touch with modern day America. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why it is that way though.

It's only a matter of time before there is a massive revolution in America. Not saying it will happen in our live time, or even in the next 200 years, but at some point the people will realize that government isn't in their best interests, and hasn't been for years.

As with every political system, it becomes infested and eventually you have to clear out the rot.

money is not speech.

Money is necessary for speech. Imagine this law "it is illegal to spend any money to criticize an elected official."

That law prohibits speech. You can't publish a book, purchase advertising, or stamps to mail a letter-campaign. You can't write a letter to the editor (paper costs money), call the newspaper to complain (phone service isn't free). Heck, you can't even drive to city hall to protest (gas costs money).

The problem isn't the money being spent. It is 1) that politicians are able to accept the money and trade favors for it and 2) that too many people don't think for themselves and are easily swayed by expensive campaigns.

Appreciate your writing.

However privatization is a Rich Republitard style of thinking that has the Country in this mess to begin with so Epic Fail on your rant.

However you are correct that Congress is the problem.

The fix however is to simply term limit them.

Without term limits they are essentially Kings and Queens.

I agree with this - or to make it a mandated community service like jury duty where you are summoned to show up - or make all their paychecks 70-100K a year max without all the added benefits along with short term limits (definitely keep the term limits). Take the profit and career out of being a government official and you'll see better results I think. The problem is instead of going into the government to serve the country - people are going in it to make money and make it a career... if we could change that mindset back to the original "to serve" one our forefathers had - I think we would do better.

I like this idea better: declare null and void any office that does not get a 90% voter turn out. Other then that I would like second choice voting.
