actually... u should not be so quick to judge. certain boxes with a specific serial number really have 9600 pro's inside.

Ok, but the card that is supposed to be in the boxes is pure 64 bit gaming sh!t.

hehe... as long as it runs conter-strike... i'm alright with it 🙂

I'd guess he's showing off how many of the 9600 Pro's in 9600SE boxes he was able to buy. Note the Best Buy stickers--that's where the original poster in Hot Deals found his lucky card.

9600SE should still play HL2 decently, as it'll be more VPU- than memory-bandwidth-bound. I agree, though, that's it's a pointless card. I'd rather buy a 9600 now for ~$100 and buy HL2 for ~$50 when it's released.

If your sister was going to buy a 9600SE, would you call your parents and tell them to make her buy a better card?

I have played the HL2 beta on a laptop with a radeon 9000 and its not bad at all besides some driver funkyness.

well assuming it is his pic

I'm pretty sure he sells PC hardware or at least moves a lot of hardware, so selling them won't be too much of a problem for him (99% of users don't need anything even close to a 9600 "slow edition").

I'm not Nick, but yes I would 😛

Talking bout me?? 🙂

All of them have 9600pro in them. Got 5 cause my friend wanted one. The rest??? I'm selling two and prolly keeping 2 for ATes later. 🙂 Money is hard to come by at this time. 😀

Jiffy, I move alot of hardware. You're right. 🙂

Thought so 🙂. Nice job finding that those 9600SE boxes all had 9600Pro's in them. Very smart 😉.
