What the Ef kind of poem has a line like that! I'd fail you even if it was your original work.

While recording the King Biscuit Flour Hour my 90 min cassette tape also got part of the Dr Demento show, on it was "Poisoning Pigeons In The Park" , "Fish Heads", "Wet dream", "Rapture" , and some others. I thought that Poisoning Pigeons In The Park was the best of them so I copied most of the song down as a poem ,less the "Lalaalaalalaladoodiedieedoodoodoo" and chorus parts. Looking back at the actual lyrics I probably had allot of the words wrong. Then again a summer school teacher isn't the must devoted employee.

dont feel too bad, a friend of mine wrote all my poems in high shool english. I barely passed in all 4 years. I got strait A's in nearly everything else too. (spanish being the exception, I just don't do spoken languages well)

School is for learning, especially at the lower grades. If you fail something, you don't cheat to pass it.

You think you're going to be respected by people if you can't write better than a 9th grader ?

spelling problems shouldn't exist. Thats why you have Microsoft Word. If you still have spelling errors you probably have to go back couple of grades.

Plagiarism will get you owned in College/University.

I don't think MS Word was available for my Tandy TRS80 Color Computer, back then. And to think I made it thru nuclear engineering school with this poor work ethic. If Homer Simpson can be a reactor operator then maybe there is hope for me.

Wow a Tandy TRS-80 Color computer? Everyone I have ever seen or used was monochrome. What are you trying to prove?

It also has grammar check. See the irony?

I agree that cheating is stupid, but who gives a crap if somebody is able to write poetry? School isn't necessarily for learning the actual things that are taught in a lesson, often it's the "learning how to learn" thing. You can't "learn" to be a poet or an author, and I've always thought that assignments like that are pointless and serve more to make people dislike learning than to actually teach them anything.

I got through most of high school doing the bare minimum of writing necessary, never did any work involving poetry or story-telling. I'm sure there are plenty of 9th-graders who can write prose and poetry better than I can.

I did a google search for poison pigeons and the first result was: Tom Lehrer's - Poisoning Pigeons In The Park.

MY GOD - Thats amazing! He wrote the exact same poem as me. I must be stupid not have just copied his work.

Try reading the original post GoogleMaster.
