Yes, peta=fruit cakes and I have no plans to give up eating meat, however I am sure unnecessary abuses take place. Working around this stuff all day has to be a head trip. People just get numb to this stuff.

Okay, so now that I got that out of my system, caring isn't what PETA is about. PETA is about destroying our lifestyle. PETA doesn't want us to use any animal products, even if it means people will die. PETA doesn't want us to have any animals in our homes. PETA doesn't want us to use animals for research. PETA doesn't want us to use animals in any way at all. PETA uses caring as a front to advance their political agenda. All they want is for us to go back to living in grass huts and eat tree bark and try to raise our children on nuts and berries.

Everybody knows it's morally superior not to eat meat, so, in order not to feel too inferior the meat eaters who don't have the courage to quit make fun of the superior humans that have. I was surprised and pleased to chance upon an Einstein quote the other day where he condemns the practice. I love Einstein. He was SOOOO stupid.

Why do you feel sick? There is nothing remarkable or 'surprising' about the excerpts from the book "Slaughterhouse". What do people believe happens at a "slaughter" house, animals listen to Yanni while being treated to deep tissue massages as some fairy in a pink Tu-Tu runs around pirouetting and throwing rose petals into the air as all the workers sing Kumbaya?

For crying out loud, animals are killed there for their meat and other products. Is this a new revelation for some people?

eating meat is a natural human tendency. Animals are either carnivors or herbivors. I mean lots of other animals eat meat. So to me it's totally natural. I think there is a limit to how humans kill animals though. I by no means think it is rational for people to treat the animals in the ways they do, but that's not gonna stop me as a carnivor from eating meat. It is an essential part of a well-balanced diet and dawgonnit, it's just plain natural

What about all those plants you torture, maim, and kill in your relentless quest for moral superiority, huh? Plants are living creatures too, and deserve our respect and humane treatment every bit as much as animals do. It is sheer hipocrasy that vegetarians/vegans forsake one entire kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, and state that they do so out of some twisted, misguided sense of compassion for the animals of this world.

Won't someone PLEASE think of the plants?

Two of my siblings were vegetarians (one vegan, ugh). But, one really good steak broke them!

When they figure out a way to tease meaty spare ribs or tenderloins out of an animal without having to kill it, I'll be all for it.

Until then, I'll be over here sharpening me knives and saws and chisels and hammers...
