Well, my Geforce3 should get here by Thursday evening. Yeah, I know it's a little late to be jumping on the Geforce3 bandwagon but my old Radeon isn't cutting it anymore. Anyways, I am sorry ATI.. I said I would never do it but i did. Just please get the R300 out SOON and at a more justifiable price than this ti4600 garbage.. that is all

Your traitor! How could you live with yourself??? :)

Only joking! I abandoned my faithful Matrox card a couple weeks back in favour of a shiny new ATI card. At then end of the day you have to buy what?s best at the time ? being loyal to one company ends up costing you more cash for inferior products in the long run.

BTW, why didn?t you go for a Radeon 8500?? :)

I feel like a traitor too :)

After having a Riva 128, TNT, TNT2, GF2, GF2 Pro, GF3 Ti-200 I have purchased a Radeon 8500 Retail.

My first foray into the world of ATI.

I feel like a traitor too. After owning and loving AMD for so long, I bought my girlfriend a Dell system with a Pentium 4 CPU. I just couldn't pass up the great deal. I have NVIDIA in both my computer (Geforce 4 Ti 4400) and her computer (Geforce 4 MX 440) though.

<< Yes, why didn't you? >>

mostly because i make all my purchases on impulse

its been a long while since i bought a video card, and i didn't realize how far that ati has come with the 8500 drivers. after reading up i'm actually pretty impressed.
but for the next big batch of games i will be playing non-stop(nwn, ut2, doom...) i think i'm going to want something better than an 8500 anyways.

the plan here is to spend as little money as possible so i have some left once the big time cards come out in late summer/fall. problem right now is winxp=horrible gaming.

Just out of curiosity, what GF3 did you get that costs substantially less
than an R8500?

I've been an Nvidia fan since way back when. Now I'm considering a Radeon 8500... I too, feel like a traitor. But then again, I just gave up Intel for AMD. I guess the price/preformance ratio is the most important part.
