I joined myspace a while back (I have no real profile or anything) so I could comment on some one's profile. Well I had some one add me to their friends which I thought was a bit odd because I didn't think anyone would know who I was (no pic or anything) and I assumed they added me because they saw me on the "new members page". Agian, I really don't visit myspace that much and only visted again when I saw that stupid emo kid thread..

So I saw I was still added to the friends list and said how I thought she looked nice and kept it nice a simple, I expected a pretty simple reply like "oh thank you". No, of course not, in the world of P. Mango, everything is unexpected, from test scores to relationships.. Turns out it was a girl I knew all the way back from '01 and because I have extremely poor facial recognition (firmware v0.9) I didn't recognize her at all. :( Lol, this isn't the first time this has happened to me)

Now, since I'm done mumbling incoherently about nothing, let atot know if something like this has happen to YOU before. Thanks. (Situation could be any recognition situation)

Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I come right out and just say "I'm awful with names, sorry...what's your name again?" Other times I try to play it off and surreptitiously try to get them to drop their own name.

That's fine.

It's even weirder if you've nailed them and still don't know who she is. They just keep yapping and you're left wondering "didn't we boink sometime ago?"

yea a year ago some guy at the mall came up to me and started talking to me, knew me by name and other info that started to make me nervous. he finally tells me his name and said we went to high school together. For the life of me i have never seen this guy before, i wrote his name down and looked him up in my year book and he is in there but sure as hell dont remember talking to him. i graduated in 1987. I felt bad because i could tell he was dissapointed i didnt know him.
