I live right off the lake in SW michigan....we started getting snow on Saturday. 18 inches by Sunday afternoon. 8 more inches by monday morning. I cleared 6 more inches this morning. We've got another 6 inches since then, and we are supposed to get 5-8 more inches overnight. ACK! I'm SOOO sick of lake effect snow. To top it off, my snowblower broke this morning. :(

This sucks!

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Trace directly across the lake from Chicago on your map and you'll find me. :)

I thought Antarctica got so little precipitation (including snow) that it is classified as desert? :p

EDIT: from wiki
At 14.425 million km², Antarctica is the third-smallest continent before Europe and Australia; 98% of it is covered in ice. Because there is little precipitation, except at the coasts, the interior of the continent is technically the largest desert in the world.

Send some to the Washington, DC area!!! I have family in Kalamazoo, and lake-effect snow can be a b!tch sometimes!

Actually isn't it technically a tundra, but in theory a desert?
