Going to take off Thurs on a 14 hr drive to Virginia for the holidays. Will be husband and I, son, DIL, 2 grandaughters, daughter, SIL and grandson. All together for the first time since start of covid. Makes me happy just thinking about it, although I wish I could snap my fingers and just be there without having to get there.

14 hours in a car/truck/van with all those people? Will you have any hair left by the time you arrive? I MIGHT leave with that load of people...but I suspect they'd be scattered along the way at various gas stations...or buried in the woods somewhere.

She should see if she can get some of that gas they used in that Russian theater years ago. Then get in the car with a gas mask and cylinder. Before anyone can say WTF, open the cylinder and wait a minute or two. then take over the driver seat and open the window. That should keep them docile for at least a few hours. You just don't want to go overboard like the KGB did.

LOL I'd kill some of them or myself if I had to do the trip that way. Thankfully it's husband and I driving to son's house and daughter, SIL and grandson are flying in a few days later.

Last saw father's side family Mar. 1, 2020, flew home that night. I was nervous even then about covid, but it was kinda under the radar then. 16 days later it was lockdown city in California.

Mother's side family I can Zoom Sunday mornings, I have done that some.

Haha. I can feel GB cringing at this conversation. But I like the idea. And since I only change my t-shirt once per week (kidding, mostly 🙂 ) I could have skid hash marks up and down both sleeves. Thank the gods for loperamide (Imodium). If you're tired of buying a pack of 24 over the counter, you can get a bottle of 200 from Amazon. Shhh.

I know all about the 200 count bottle at Amazon….in add to my other woes I have microscopic colitis diagnosed via biopsy….Opdivo can make my flares worse 😢
